Greece - Wedding & Honeymoon Contacts

Greece Tourist Information

The official website of the Greek Ministry of Tourism. No information about weddings on this site, but plenty to help the holidaymaker.

Greek Embassy in London

Not currently the most efficient site, but we understand that they are working on it!

If you are arranging the wedding yourself, the Embassy should be able to help you with the translation of your documents into Greek in order to apply for your marriage licence.

The Embassy doesn't currently have an official translation department in London, so the official advice is to find an approved translator through the Chartered Institute of Linguists (T: 0207 940 3100/ This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or the Institute of Translation & Interpreting (T: 01908 325250 This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ).

NB Only translations made by Consulate approved translators can be accepted. Their signature will be checked for authenticity.

British Embassy in Greece

Unusually for British Embassy websites, this one has some useful information for British couples planning a wedding in Greece. It's also useful to have their contact details, should you need emergency help while you are out there.
